Bjarne Stroustrup is a Danish computer scientist and professor at Columbia University. He designed and implemented C++ at Bell Labs in the early 1980s, documenting its rationale in 'The C++ Programming Language' and subsequent standards work. C++ remains one of the most widely used programming languages in systems, games, and embedded software.
