David Einhorn is the founder and president of Greenlight Capital, a long-short value-oriented hedge fund he established in 1996. He built his reputation through rigorous accounting analysis, most notably his public short of Lehman Brothers before its 2008 collapse. He is also known for activist positions and his book 'Fooling Some of the People All of the Time', which detailed his multi-year short case against Allied Capital.
