John W. Rogers Jr. is founder, chairman, and co-CEO of Ariel Investments, one of the first Black-owned asset management firms in the United States. He built Ariel into a multi-billion-dollar firm by concentrating on neglected small- and mid-cap stocks held for the long term, resisting short-term market noise.
