Emeritus professor at BI Norwegian Business School, Oslo. One of the original co-authors of The Limits to Growth (1972), the Club of Rome report that modelled resource depletion and population overshoot using system dynamics. His solo work 2052: A Global Forecast for the Next Forty Years (2012) projected slow climate action and declining growth through mid-century.
