Katharine Graham
Washington Post; "permission" allocator under Buffett's tutelage
Katharine Graham ran The Washington Post Company from 1963 until the 1990s, inheriting the role after her husband's death. Under Buffett's guidance as a major shareholder and adviser, she grew the company's per-share value dramatically through buybacks and focused reinvestment. She is also known for authorising publication of the Pentagon Papers and overseeing Watergate coverage.
