Kyle Bass is the founder and chief investment officer of Hayman Capital Management, a Dallas-based global macro hedge fund. He built his reputation by correctly shorting US subprime mortgage securities ahead of the 2008 crisis, then extended that framework to sovereign-debt fragility in Japan and Greece. He is also known for outspoken public warnings about China's banking system and currency risks.
