Larry Pitkowsky co-founded GoodHaven Capital Management with Keith Trauner, launching the GoodHaven Fund (GOODX) after both left Fairholme Capital Management. The fund follows a concentrated, long-horizon value strategy, holding relatively few positions and waiting for wide margins of safety. Pitkowsky is associated with patient, owner-operator thinking rather than quantitative screening.
