Indirect Approach
B.H. Liddell Hart (1895–1970) was a British military theorist and prolific writer on warfare and strategy. His book 'Strategy' (1954) codified the Indirect Approach, influencing armoured warfare doctrine and generations of military planners. He also championed the development of mechanised warfare and rehabilitation of tank-led manoeuvre as an alternative to attritional frontal assault.
