Former FT columnist who spent over 25 years writing a work and careers column beloved for its dry dissection of office life and business nonsense. In 2017 she left journalism to retrain as a secondary school maths teacher and co-founded Now Teach, a charity encouraging mid-career professionals to do the same. She is best known for her satirical takedowns of management-speak and MBA pretension.
