Ludwig von Bertalanffy
General Systems Theory.
Ludwig von Bertalanffy (1901–1972) was an Austrian-Canadian biologist who held academic posts at the University of Alberta and SUNY Buffalo. He developed General Systems Theory as a framework to unify science by identifying structural laws common to all complex systems, challenging reductionist approaches. His 1968 book *General System Theory* remains the foundational text of the field.
