Russ Cox served as tech lead of the Go team at Google, overseeing the language's toolchain development for over a decade. He designed the Go module system (shipped in Go 1.11) and authored influential essays on semantic versioning and dependency management. He also contributed to Plan 9 from Bell Labs and the re2 regular-expression library.
