Stephen Schwarzman is Chairman, CEO, and co-founder of Blackstone, the alternative investment firm he launched in 1985 with Peter Peterson. Under his leadership Blackstone expanded from leveraged buyouts into real estate, credit, hedge funds, and infrastructure, pioneering the multi-strategy allocator model. He is also known for large-scale philanthropy in education and the arts.
