Steve Keen

Minsky-school; debt deflation, private-credit-as-aggregate-demand

Steve Keen is a post-Keynesian economist, formerly professor at Kingston University London and University of Western Sydney. He is best known for formalising Minsky's financial-instability hypothesis into dynamic stock-flow models and for publicly warning of a debt-deflation crisis before 2008. His book 'Debunking Economics' critiques neoclassical theory, and he developed the 'Minsky' system-dynamics software for macroeconomic modelling.
