Ghoshal was a professor at London Business School until his death in 2004, having previously taught at INSEAD. He co-authored 'Managing Across Borders: The Transnational Solution' with Christopher Bartlett, introducing the transnational model as an alternative to multinational and global structures. He also critiqued agency theory's influence on management education in his widely debated essay on bad management theories.
