Tom Preston-Werner co-founded GitHub in 2008 and served as its CEO until 2014, building it into the dominant platform for version-controlled software collaboration. He created Jekyll, the Ruby-based static site generator that underpins GitHub Pages, and authored the 'Readme Driven Development' essay advocating writing documentation before code. He has since co-founded Chatterbug and Stack.
