C.K. Prahalad (BoP)
Bottom of the Pyramid as business model
Prahalad was Professor of Corporate Strategy at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business until his death in 2010. He co-developed the core competence concept with Gary Hamel and later argued, in 'The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid' (2004), that serving low-income markets profitably requires reinventing cost structures and distribution, not merely cutting prices.
