Uber: on-demand black-car-to-rideshare model pivot

Garrett Camp is a Canadian entrepreneur and the founder of Expa, a startup studio. He co-founded Uber in 2009 after conceiving the idea of a shared, on-demand car service, and previously built StumbleUpon, a web-discovery platform acquired by eBay. He is credited with the core business model insight that shifting Uber from private black-car hire to dynamic surge-priced ridesharing unlocked mass-market scale.
