Overcoming Bias; signaling and elephant-in-brain.
Robin Hanson is an associate professor of economics at George Mason University and a research associate at the Future of Humanity Institute. He writes the blog Overcoming Bias and co-authored The Elephant in the Brain (2018) with Kevin Simler, arguing that most human behaviour is driven by unconscious status-seeking rather than stated reasons.
