Ryan Petersen is the founder and CEO of Flexport, a San Francisco-based digital freight forwarder. He built the business on the premise that traditional freight brokerage was opaque and fragmented, replacing it with a platform giving shippers real-time visibility across ocean, air, and road. Flexport grew to handle billions of dollars in cargo and is credited with modernising an industry resistant to software adoption.
