Sönke Ahrens is a German educator and author who has taught philosophy and education at university level. His 2017 book How to Take Smart Notes introduced Niklas Luhmann's Zettelkasten system to a broad audience, arguing that writing and thinking are inseparable and that a networked note system compounds intellectual output over time.
