Comcast: NBCUniversal acquisition, Sky bid

Chairman and CEO of Comcast Corporation, the cable and media conglomerate his father Ralph Roberts founded. He orchestrated the $30 bn acquisition of NBCUniversal (completed 2011), reshaping Comcast into a content-and-distribution giant. In 2018 he launched a rival all-cash bid for Sky, ultimately losing to Rupert Murdoch's 21st Century Fox after an auction process.
