Donald O. Clifton (1924–2003) served as chairman of the Gallup Organisation, where he led research into human potential for decades. He developed the StrengthsFinder psychometric tool and co-authored 'Now, Discover Your Strengths' with Marcus Buckingham. The American Psychological Association posthumously recognised him as the Father of Strengths-Based Psychology.
