Donald Schön
Reflective Practitioner (with Argyris)
Donald Schön (1930–1997) was a philosopher and professor at MIT's Department of Urban Studies and Planning. Working with Chris Argyris, he developed theories of organisational learning and action science; his 1983 book 'The Reflective Practitioner' argued that skilled professionals learn primarily by reflecting critically on their own practice, not by applying technical rules.
