Frederick Taylor
Scientific Management
Frederick Winslow Taylor (1856–1915) was an American mechanical engineer who became the originator of Scientific Management. Working at Midvale and Bethlehem Steel, he developed time-and-motion studies to standardise labour and set optimal work rates. His 1911 book 'The Principles of Scientific Management' became one of the most influential management texts of the 20th century.
