Jay Galbraith — Star Model of org design

Jay Galbraith (1939–2014) was a professor and management consultant, latterly affiliated with the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. He built one of the most widely used frameworks in organisational design, holding that structure alone cannot explain performance — all five Star Model elements must be aligned. His consulting work and texts shaped how large firms think about matrix structures and lateral capability.
