Gordon Moore
Intel: Moore's Law operationalized, memory-to-microprocessor pivot
Co-founder and former Chairman/CEO of Intel Corporation, Moore previously co-founded Fairchild Semiconductor. He is best known for his 1965 observation — later termed Moore's Law — that transistor density on integrated circuits doubles roughly every two years, a prediction that shaped decades of industry roadmaps. His strategic decision to exit DRAM memory and concentrate Intel's resources on microprocessors defined the modern computing era.
