Unilever: Sustainable Living Plan, long-termism

Paul Polman served as CEO of Unilever from 2009 to 2019, where he scrapped quarterly earnings guidance to prioritise long-term value creation. He championed the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan, which aimed to decouple business growth from environmental footprint whilst improving social impact across the supply chain. Since leaving Unilever he co-founded IMAGINE, a benefit corporation accelerating business-led action on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
