Co-founder of the Centre for Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School, where he has taught for decades. Developed Adaptive Leadership alongside Marty Linsky, arguing that leadership means mobilising people to tackle hard problems by changing values, habits, and priorities. Best known for 'Leadership Without Easy Answers' (1994) and 'The Practice of Adaptive Leadership' (2009).
