Barbara Mellers

Barbara Mellers is a professor of psychology and decision-making at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She co-led the Good Judgment Project alongside Philip Tetlock, which won IARPA's geopolitical forecasting tournament by showing that disciplined, probabilistic thinking markedly improves predictive accuracy. Her broader research covers judgement under uncertainty, emotional responses to outcomes, and the psychology of choice.
